A four-member delegation from City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK), led by Professor Tat Kei Alfred HO, dean ofthe College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences anddirector of the Institute of Global Governance and Innovation for a Shared Future, visited theCentral University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) in Beijing on May 26.The delegation was received by CUFE President Ma Haitao.
During the meeting between the two sides, Ma Haitao introduced the distinctive features and international development achievements of the CUFE. He emphasized that CityUHK is globally renowned for public administration and global governance, providing a solid ground for collaboration between the two institutions with promising prospects. He expressed hope that this exchange would serve to deepen practical cooperation between the two institutions in joint research, talent cultivation, and course development, contributing wisdom and strength to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the modernization of national governance.
Tat Kei Alfred HOgave an overview of the development and academic strengths ofCityUHK'sCollege of Liberal Arts and Social Sciencesand the Institute of Global Governance and Innovation for a Shared Future. Underscoring the importance CityUHK places on strategic collaboration with the CUFE, he said the CityUHK was willing to engage with the CUFE in joint research and educational projects in cutting-edge fields such as public policies, sustainable development, hybrid financing, and green financing. He said that through these efforts he hoped to promote academic resource sharing, deepen interaction between the faculty and students from the two institutions, and explore high-level, multi-dimensional cooperation models together.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as collaborative education, curriculum development, and academic alignment. Representatives from theCUFE's International Cooperation Division, School of Public Finance and Taxation, School of Government, and Center for China Fiscal Development also participated in the meeting.
