Each year, CUFE undertakes more than 90 national scientific research projects, funded by the research support divisions of organizations such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China’s National Social Science Planning Office, Ministry of Technology, and Ministry of Education.
In addition, the CUFE Research Management Office runs a diverse range of support programs and resources to assist researchers at all stages of their careers. The University’s mission is supported by the following programs and initiatives.
This research institute established cooperative agreements with the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, and the Zurich Insurance Group. It encouraged international recognition of the British actuarial system and actively contributes to the popularization and application of actuarial studies in China, as well as to the establishment of an institute for Chinese actuarial scientists.
This research institute serves as a member of the National Engineering Laboratory for E-Commerce Technology, and as a key research base for philosophy and social sciences in Beijing. It enlists government and corporate research projects from the National Key Technology R&D Program, National Natural Sciences Foundation, National Social Sciences Foundation, National Development and Reform Commission, and the Shougang Group. It delivers services for the development of corporate strategy and serves as a think tank for multinational corporations. At the 2015 China E-Commerce Innovation and Development Summit, CUFE’s Chinese Internet Economy Research Institute received the Most Influential Research Organization Award.
This research institute is a key research base for philosophy and social sciences in Beijing. It is divided into 10 second-tier research organizations including the Taiwan Economic Research Center and the International Investment Research Center, which conduct research in the fields of, among others, financial management, regional economics, population, resource and environmental economics, and country studies. It is developing cooperation arrangements and exchange programs with globally renowned universities, such as Harvard, Oxford and Victoria University.
This research center addresses the vast demands of internationally innovative topics and Chinese–Australian socioeconomic development, and conducts open international cooperative research. It heightens the level of bilateral research results and CUFE’s international research reputation. Research fields include environmental and energy economics, tourism economics, international trade, public finance, public policy management, social welfare, social security, international finance reporting standards, and health and sports economics.
This research center is an interdisciplinary research institute covering interdisciplinary fields such as sociology, anthropology, international politics, finance and economics. Encompassing the field of Chinese overseas development, the Center generates research results that are both academically innovative and well suited to real-world demands. It is an important cooperative institute for international development research on behalf of the China Development Bank and operates as a base of experts on overseas development research that catalogues related information, materials and data.
This institute is China’s first open, internationalized research institute for the promotion and development of green finance. It is an executive council member of the Green Finance Committee of the China Society for Finance and Banking. It also established an organization for academic cooperation in conjunction with the Ministry of Finance. The institute is committed to establishing an economic environment and social atmosphere in the spirit of green finance, and strives to establish a top-tier national and leading international financial think tank with Chinese characteristics. The institute’s primary research orientations include climate finance, green finance, energy finance and pension finance. Public-private partnerships (PPPs), green financial product innovation, carbon finance, climate finance and green bonds are issues studied within the institute’s laboratory facilities.
This research center, with its scientific research strengths and unique academic advantages in the fields of monetary policy, finance and trade, conducts theoretical research and personnel training primarily in the fields of Russian, Eastern European, and Central Asian national monetary and economic studies. In this way, the Center expands its international influence and external exchanges, aiding China’s socioeconomic development and openness.
