Research Support

Each year, CUFE undertakes more than 90 national scientific research projects, funded by the research support divisions of organizations such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China’s National Social Science Planning Office, Ministry of Technology, and Ministry of Education.

In addition, the CUFE Research Management Office runs a diverse range of support programs and resources to assist researchers at all stages of their careers. The University’s mission is supported by the following programs and initiatives.

Major Scientific Research Support Project

Offers funding support for innovative domestic and international research. Funding support is also provided for leading research topics that stimulate development of academic disciplines that have a clear interdisciplinary nature and are complex and comprehensive.

Academic Works Publishing Fund

Encourages both fundamental and innovative research, provides funding support for research published in high-quality academic journals, and promotes the commercialization of university research for economic and social development.

Research Innovation Team Support Program

Provides funding support for the establishment of innovative research teams with stable research orientations and/or relatively strong research bases. This program also nurtures and incubates high-level scientific research results.

International Academic Exchange Support Program

Arranges funding support for researchers and students to attend high-level forums and academic conferences abroad, and promotes international academic interaction and cooperation.

Reading Paper Workshop

Establishes a small-scale high-end research results exchange platform to provide for the confluence of superior academics, which focus on specialized topics. The workshop serves as a platform for promoting, exchanging, and integrating interdisciplinary thoughts and opinions in academic papers.

Research Database Construction Project

Delivers funding support for researchers to establish, collect and organize original databases. Scientific organizations and methods are used to establish unique scientific research databases.

Talent Recruitment Project

Supports funding for the recruitment of foreign experts to come to China to conduct academic exchanges and research.This includes key talent recruitment projects for the University and the nation.
