Students from the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) scored top marks at the 17th Lanqiao Cup National Software and Information Technology Competition for College Students, which concluded on July 12. CUFE students actively participated, with a total of 104 entries across 10 events in four tracks: Software, artificial intelligence, digital innovation and visual art design. After rounds of fierce competition, CUFE students won a total of 19 provincial-level awards: In the software track, they secured one first prize, seven second prizes, and eight third prizes. In the artificial intelligence track, they won one first, one second, and one third prize. First prize-winners, Luo Jiayang enrolled in 2025 for Data Science and Big Data Technology, and Chen Weiqi enrolled in 2022 for E-Commerce, advanced to the national finals — ultimately winning one national first prize and one national third prize.
The achievements are said to be strong testament to CUFE's ongoing promotion of talent cultivation through its "One College, One Competition" initiative, which integrates competition into teaching, learning and educational reform. The approach significantly stimulates students' interest in learning, and enhances their innovative thinking and practical skills.
