The Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) has been endeavoring to optimize its overseas alumni liaison service system, promote high-quality international education for students studying in China, and deepen pragmatic cooperation between China and Mongolia in education and culture. Under such a circumstance, the Inaugural Meeting of the Preparatory Committee of the CUFE Alumni Association Mongolia and the Symposium of CUFE Alumni in Mongolia were recently held in Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia. The event was attended by representatives of CUFE's School of International Cultural Exchange, alumni from various sectors in Mongolia, and leaders of alumni business enterprises.

In their speeches, Li Chunling, dean of the School of International Cultural Exchange, Vice Dean Li Yangbo, and Professor Wang Guoqing expressed their warm congratulations on the establishment of the preparatory committee. They commended CUFE alumni in Mongolia for their efforts in fostering friendly relations and exchanges in economic, trade and cultural fields between China and Mongolia. What's more, they highlighted plans to leverage CUFE's strengths in finance and international exchange resources to systematically advance the standardized development of the CUFE Alumni Association Mongolia (Preparatory), cross-border school-enterprise collaborations and joint international talent cultivation— aiming for win-win outcomes for both CUFE and its partners.

The meeting reviewed and approved the Draft Charter of the CUFE Alumni Association Mongolia (Preparatory), and elected the president, vice president, and committee members of the preparatory committee. Nyamdavaa Amartuvshin, the newly elected president, pledged to adhere strictly to the charter, responsibly fulfill duties, systematically promote the standardization and regulation of the alumni association, and unite and serve all alumni in Mongolia, creating a platform for mutual support and development. During discussions, committee members and alumni representatives expressed their commitment to pooling alumni resources to support the high-quality development of the university and actively facilitate educational exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

Alumni in Mongolia shared their insights based on industry experiences and the current state of Mongolian industry. They offered suggestions on optimizing the training programs for students studying in China, improving the quality of overseas student recruitment, and providing local employment support for international students.

Following the symposium, the CUFE delegation visited key alumni businesses in Mongolia. Both parties engaged in in-depth talks on the joint establishment of internship and employment bases for international students and collaborative cross-border industry-academia-research development, reaching preliminary agreements.
