On March 30, the second meeting of the Council of the Confucius Institute at the University of Thessaly was held online between CUFE, which is the Chinese executing institution of the institute, and the University of Thessaly.

The Council listened to the work report and the financial report of the institute for 2021, and deliberated the institute’s work plan and budget for 2022. The Presidents of the two universities, as co-chairs of the Council, fully approved the work and achievements of the institute in 2021. In 2022, the institute will step up the development of Chinese language and culture curriculum, expand Chinese teaching network, carry out a variety of cultural activities, organize trainings of international Chinese language teachers, and provide HSK Chinese proficiency test services. The two universities will make better use of the institute as a platform, and deepen cooperation in teacher training, academic research, people-to-people exchange, cultural mutual learning, and the building of joint research center,etc.
