2025 Annual Conference of the China Digital Economics Autonomous Knowledge System Innovation Alliance and Release of the Internet and Digital Economy Blue Book and the Digital Finance Blue Book held at CUFE

On Jan 10, the 2025 Annual Conference of the China Digital Economics Autonomous Knowledge System Innovation Alliance and the Release of theInternet and Digital Economy Blue Bookand theDigital Finance Blue Bookwere held at the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE).

The event was jointly organized by CUFE’s National Academy of Financial and Economic Strategy and the China Center for Internet Economy Research (CCIE), in collaboration with the User and Market Research Institute of China Mobile Research Institute and Social Sciences Academic Press (China). Experts and scholars from more than 20 universities and research institutions, including Tsinghua University, Nankai University, and the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, gathered to engage in in-depth discussions on key issues such as leveraging the innovation alliance to advance the construction of China’s autonomous knowledge system in digital economics and promoting the high-quality development of the digital economy.

In his opening remarks, Li Tao, vice-president of CUFE, noted that the digital economy is a key driver of high-quality development in the new era, and that constructing an autonomous knowledge system in digital economics is a core task in responding to national strategic needs and enhancing disciplinary discourse power. He emphasized that CUFE’s CCIE has long been rooted in the university’s strengths in economics and finance, focusing on frontier research and major theoretical challenges in the digital economy, and has accumulated a solid foundation of research and practical experience. By jointly establishing the innovation alliance with multiple partners, the initiative aims to bring together efforts from academia and industry to promote the development and refinement of China’s autonomousknowledge system in digital economics, generating theoretical results that reflect both Chinese characteristics and an international perspective.

Wei Chenguang, vice-president of China Mobile Research Institute, stated that the rapid development of the digital economy relies on the dual engines of technological innovation and industrial practice. He noted that China Mobile will actively align with academic research needs, build bridges between theoretical research and industrial practice, facilitate the application of digital economy research outcomes, and promote the deep integration of digital technologies with the real economy, thereby injecting strong momentum into high-quality digital economic development.

Ji Xiangde, president of Social Sciences Academic Press (China), emphasized that the dissemination and transformation of academic results are vital components in building an independent knowledge system. He noted that the press is committed to creating high-level platforms for academic communication and will continue to support the dissemination and promotion of research results in the digital economy, providing an efficient bridge for academic exchange in the construction of China’s autonomous knowledge system in digital economics.

At the conference, Sun Baowen, director of CUFE’s China Center for Internet Economy Research, releasedPractices in Building CUFE’s Autonomous Knowledge System in Digital Economics.Lin Lin, director of the User and Market Research Institute of China Mobile Research Institute, released the2025 Internet and Digital Economy Blue Book. Liu Lanbiao, director of the FinTech Research Center at the School of Finance, Nankai University, released the2025 Digital Finance Blue Book.

During the keynote speeches and roundtable forum sessions, participating experts and scholars shared insights from their respective research fields, engaging in discussions on topics including the practical implementation of an autonomous knowledge system in digital economics, the application prospects of digital technologies, and the deep integration of the digital economy with industrial upgrading. A series of proposals and recommendations were put forward regarding disciplinary development in the field of digital economics.

CUFE will continue to build high-level platforms for exchange and cooperation, promote the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application, and provide stronger theoretical support and guarantees for advancing China’s high-quality digital economic development and the construction of a “Digital China.”
