From Jan 21 to 23, the 5th Global Peace Summit, organized by Humanitarian Affairs Asia, was held in Bangkok, Thailand. Invited by the summit organizers, and selected through independent student applications by the International Cooperation Division, the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) sent a delegation of 13 students from various schools to participate in the event.

Prior to departure, Peng Yuchao, director of CUFE’s International Cooperation Division, and Ren Ran, director of Humanitarian Affairs Asia, held a mobilization and preparatory briefing for the participating students.

With the theme “Peace for All,” the summit focused on key issues such as peacebuilding, conflict transformation, resilience building, and global cooperation. The event attracted more than 400 university students from over 60 countries and regions worldwide.

During the summit, CUFE students actively engaged with global participants, sharing their understanding of China’s peaceful development path and discussing the role of youth in building a community with a shared future for mankind. Through these interactions, they demonstrated broad international perspectives, solid academic foundations, and excellent cross-cultural communication skills.

Participating in the summit deepened the students’ understanding of global conflicts and peacebuilding complexities. At the same time, through intellectual exchanges with international peers and experts, they strengthened their resolve to contribute youthful energy to promoting peace, development, and justice.
