On September 26, the 2021 Annual Meeting of the International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) of CUFE and Academic Forum of the Fifth Anniversary of IIGF was successfully held in Beijing. Yang Weimin, member of the Standing Committee of the 13th CPPCC National Committee and vice director of the Economic Affairs Committee, attended the meeting. He Xiuchao, secretary of the Communist Party Committee of CUFE and Shi Jianping, vice president of CUFE, were present and delivered speeches. Representatives from ministries, domestic and overseas academic institutions, financial institutions, international institutions and large state-owned enterprises attended the meeting to jointly discuss the current and future development of green finance at home and abroad, conducting dialogues and exchanges to boost the green transition in China’s economy and the global sustainable development.    

At the meeting, IIGF disclosed its researches and collaborative achievements related to green economy in frontier domains including green economy, energy finance, climate finance, health finance, green bonds, local green finance and carbon database. Blue Book: Annual Report on the Development of Local Green Finance in China (2021) jointly released by IIGF, Institute for Finance and Economics of CUFE and Social Sciences Academic Press attracted great attention.
