2021 Global Rural Development Forum was held in Beijing on October 19, 2021, whose participants included ministerial officials from a variety of countries, relevant officials in 11 international organizations, representatives from foreign embassies in China, comrades in concerned departments of the Chinese government, relevant experts and scholars, and representatives from enterprises, social organizations and grassroots. With the theme “Cooperation on Global Sustainable Development: Poverty Reduction and Rural Development”, this forum aimed to strengthen the communication and sharing of experience in poverty reduction and deepen international cooperation in rural development. Also, issues concerning the impact of COVID-19 on poverty and food transition were discussed on the forum.

At the Parallel Forum of 2021 Global Rural Development Forum: 2021 Global Poverty Reduction Partnership Seminar, International Poverty Reduction Center in China (IPRCC) and Research Group in Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) jointly released the International Poverty Reduction Annual Report 2021.
