CUFE Team Won the Second Prize in the ICC Chinese Moot

CUFE team participated the 2016 ICC Chinese Moot Court Competitionfrom April 15 to17 held by Beijing Foreign Studies University and won the second prize.

The ICC Chinese Moot Court Competition is a mock courtfollowed the structure and the rules of the International Criminal Court (ICC). The topics of the competition are all about the hot issues that the international community is concerned so as to help the students study international criminal law, practice the rules of ICC and promote law studies and the skills of court argument. The Moot Court competition ispopularized in its six official languages, namely English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Russian and Arabic by ICC. Many universities from Mainland China and Hong Kong have participated The Moot Court Competition (Chinese).

Competing with participants from many universities such as Hong Kong Chinese University, Fudan University, People’s University of China, Tianjin University and Hainan University from April 15 to17, CUFE team took the second group prize among 27 teams with adequate preparation and professional abilities. In the competition, CUFE team members argued over the cases in logical and elaborate way and also rebutted opponents’ views.
