The graduation ceremonies and the degree congregations for the Class of 2016 were held at Central University of Finance and Economics City Campus on 25 June, 2016. University leaders, heads of academic schools, directors of administrative departments, teachers, and graduates’ families and friends attended the ceremonies. The Class of 2016, including 4686 undergraduates, masters, and PhD students, celebrated completing their courses on the graduation day.

The University President Professor Guangqian Wang addressed to all the graduates. He congratulated graduates all on their academic results. He expressed his appreciation to all the teachers who have made pivotal contribution to the graduates’ success. He also warmly welcomed graduates’ families and friends for attending the ceremonies. In his speech, Professor Wang fully affirmed graduates’ great efforts and determination for their dreams, as well as their tangible progress in various areas. He also gratefully acknowledged graduates’ understanding, love and support to their alma mater, Central University of Finance and Economics. Last but not least, he made a promise that the university would definitely make a better achievement in the future.

Ying Jin, a 2016 graduate from the School of International Trade and Economics, delivered a graduation speech on behalf of the Class of 2016. She firstly reviewed the drips and drabs of her life and study during the undergraduate days, and then recalled the memories of how she, together with her fellow students, had persistently practiced their comprehension of being a CUFE student in real action. Jin finally promised that with the expectations from both the university and the teachers, she and her fellow students would keep their goals and actions, and would continue to respond to future challenges.

Later, the congregation for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy was held in the Main Hall. Professor Haitao Ma, Dean of the Graduate School, hosted the degree congregation. Finally, each academic school held their own graduation ceremonies.
