On September, 4th, the delegation led by Mr. Raul Henry, Lieutenant Governor of Pernambuco, Brazil visited CUFE.

President Wang Guangqian and Vice President Li Junsheng warmly received them. During the talks, President Wang introduced the mission, characteristics and talent training mode of our university to the delegation, and expressed high expectations for the development of Confucius Institute in Pernambuco. There are only 48 demonstrations among the 516 Confucius Institutes which have been established all around the world. The Confucius Institute at the Pernambuco University established by our university is one of them, which is inseparable with the support of the Pernambuco State Government.

The president thanked the Pernambuco government for its support and extended his wishes that the Confucius Institute would make more contributions to the development of Pernambuco and exchanges between Chine and Brazil.

During the visit, the delegation under the arrangement of CUFE went sightseeing to famous scenic spots such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, and the Olympic Sports Center. What’s more, the delegates also experienced traditional Chinese cultures reflected in Beijing Hutongs, courtyards, and Kung Fu performances.
