The campus of CUFE took on a new look in early September as 2559 undergraduate freshmen arrived. Welcoming designs such as flower arches, banners and plates, and sculptures were put on all over the campus.

Reportedly, among the undergraduate freshmen, 2500 students come from mainland China and 59 come from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, while 58 others are minority prep-students. 77% of the students were born after 2000.
