Ma Haitao, president of the Beijing-based Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE), led a delegation toGuangdong province on Aug 6-7, to boost the university's collaboration with local governments and businesses and expand employment opportunities for its students.They visited the Shenzhen branch of the Bank of Guangzhou Co Ltd, Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China Ltd, and the Organization Department of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC). They also met with representatives of CUFE graduates working in Guangdong. During the visit, a university-enterprise cooperation agreement was signed with Ping An Insurance.Yang Ying, deputy secretary of the CPC CUFE Committee, participated in the visit.

On the morning of Aug 6, CUFE leaders held talks at the Shenzhen branch of the Bank of Guangzhou to explore in-depth university-enterprise collaboration. In the afternoon, they visited Ping An Insurance, where a signing ceremony for university-enterprise cooperation was held. Ma Haitao expressed his appreciation for Ping An Insurance's longstanding support for CUFE's development. He also talked about the university's strengths in discipline development, educational features, talent cultivation, and graduate employment.Sun Jianping, chief human resources officer of Ping An Insurance, outlined the group's business innovations and talent needs. Yang Ying and Zhao Ming, director of Ping An Insurance's Organization and Personnel Department, signed the university-enterprise cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. Representatives of both sides jointly unveiled the internship and practice base. Both parties expressed their intention to use the signing as an opportunity for deep integration and comprehensive collaboration in talent cultivation, industry-academia-research-application coordination, recruitment and employment — aiming to jointly cultivate high-quality talent that meets industry development needs.

CUFE and Ping An Insurance sign a strategic cooperation agreement.

On Aug 7, CUFE leaders visited the Organization Department of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, and held a symposium with representatives of CUFE graduates working in the province. The meeting was chaired by a senior official from the organization department, who highlighted the success of the recruitment and training of selected CUFE graduates in Guangdong in recent years, and expressed a desire for deeper cooperation between the province and the university in terms of talent introduction and cultivation.Ma Haitao thanked the organization department for its support for the university'semployment efforts and the careful nurturing of graduates from CUFE.He sent sincere regards to CUFE graduates in Guangdong, and encouraged them to work hard. Representatives of CUFE alumni shared their experiences, and pledged to uphold the university's values and actively take on responsibilities.

After the meeting, the CUFE delegation met with Hu Fan, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and director of the organization department. They talked extensively about province-university cooperation.They also expressed theirdesire to continue the province-university friendship, explore more areas of cooperation, and leverage CUFE's strengths in talent cultivation, scientific research and social services to contribute to the high-quality economic development of Guangdong.
