On April 6th, CUFE organized the opening ceremony for the “Seminar on Development Finance for Eritrea,” a bilateral foreign aid project for human resources training sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce. Key attendees included Counselor Dai Demao of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Eritrea, CUFE Vice President Li Jianjun, and Associate Professor Zhong Qi, faculty representative from the School of Foreign Studies. This online event was attended by 33 officials and experienced professionals from Eritrea’s Ministries of Finance, Trade and Industry, Tourism, and Foreign Affairs, as well as from various levels within the banking sector.
Since CUFE undertook the foreign aid projects of Ministry of Commerce in 2006, we have successfully completed 80 terms, providing training to over 2,000 officials from 106 countries. We have also engaged in in-depth discussions and shared experiences with Eritrea on various topics, including fiscal and financial management, and development financing. The discussions and exchanges have had a profound impact on the financial communications between China and Eritrea.
