On December 22, the launching ceremony and academic symposium of theJournal of Internet and Digital Economics (JIDE), an English journal co-founded by China Center for Internet Economy Research (CCIE) and School of Economics of CUFE, was successfully held at the ConferenceRoom 604 in the Academic Hall. Professor Wang Yaoqi, President of CUFE, Professor Li Daokui, Dean of the Academic Center for Chinese Economic Practice and Thinking (ACCEPT) of Tsinghua University, Researcher Jin Chengwu, Director of editorial department ofEconomic Researchof Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Professor Yang Qijing, Executive Deputy Editor-in-Chief ofJournal of Renmin University of China, Professor Chang Xin, Vice President of Nanyang Business School of Nanyang Technological University, Professor Li Tao, Assistant Principal of CUFE, Professor Jia Yuge, Director of Scientific Research Office of CUFE, Professor Yuan Chun, President of Department of Academic Journals of CUFE, Professor Sun Baowen, President of CCIE of CUFE, members of editorial department of the JIDE and some teachers of CCIE and School of Economics attended this event.

Principal Wang Yaoqi pointed out that the publication of theJournal of Internet and Digital Economicsis of great importance to the discipline construction of Central University of Finance and Economics, and the university will provide corresponding support, striving to make it a top journal in the field of digital economy. The publication of the Journal is conducive to promoting the academia to study Chinese practice with the guidance of the international frontier theory, forming Chinese theoretical style and making theoretical contributions.

Li Daokui pointed out that the publication ofJIDEhas special and significant discipline significance. With the rapid development of digital economy, digital economics will be a revolutionary discipline that needs to be further studied in practice and studied repeatedly all over the world in the future. TheJIDE, as a medium and platform for the development of digital economics, is of great significance to the construction of digital economics and the development of related disciplines. The journal needs to innovate academic communication methods and strengthen case studies to realize the close integration of theory and practice.
