On December 4, 2021, the International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) of CUFE and the International Finance Forum (IFF) jointly released the Global Green Finance Development Index (GGFDI) and national rankings.

The Global Green Finance Development Index contains 53 indicators in three aspects: green finance policies and strategies, products and markets, and international cooperation, to comprehensively measure the determination, action, and effect of green finance development at the national level. Based on the existing conditions of data availability, the selection of indicators takes into account the principles of fairness and comparability to the maximum extent. This is the first year that the index and ranking results have been released, and the GGFDI will be optimized in the future as the global green finance development continues to change and data possibilities are enhanced.
