On October 19, CUFE held a commemorative ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary. President Wang Yaoqi stated at the ceremony that CUFE would abidingly keep in mind its mission of serving the country through education, and commit to build the university into a "first class university with Chinese characteristics” and make greater contributions towards the realization of the Chinese Dream. More than 80 universities sent congratulatory notes to CUFE for the anniversary and conveyed best wishes.
