Marceilno Granja De Menezes, Director of the Culture Department in Pernambuco, Brazil along with three other officials visited Beijing from June 6th to June 11th. As the co-host of Confucius Institute in University of Pernambuco, CUFE welcomed the delegation.

During the 6 days’ working visit, the delegation talked with the leaders from CUFE and conducted a working visit of Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) as well as Beijing Municipal Commission of Education. They also visited Beijing International Chinese College, some primary and secondary schools as well as cultural landscapes in Beijing and Tianjin.

The delegation visited CUFE on the afternoon of June 6th. During the talk, President Wang Guangqian extended heartfelt thanks to circles of culture and education of Pernambuco to CUFE Confucius Institute and indicated his expectation that Confucius Institute serving as the cultural bridge would play an important role in promoting the conversation and communication between peoples from China and Brazil in the future. Li Junsheng, Vice President of CUFE and the delegates from University of Pernambuco and Catholic University of Pernambuco had a deeper discussion concerning the dual-degree project cooperation, the union business college and so on.
