A seminar on legal matters of sharing economy and consumers’ rights protection was held by the Research Association of Chinese Consumer Protection Law and the School of Law on the morning of September 13th at CUFE.
As a new economic model, “sharing economy” is playing a significant role in pushing the supply-side reform, expanding consumption demand and stimulating economic growth. However, what also matters is that, although the sharing economy has benefited us greatly, the regulatory system for this emerging economic model is not yet complete. Also, some policies have fallen behind the development. Therefore, sometimes it’s hard to safeguard consumers’ rights.
This is the first domestic seminar related to a topic like this. It has great significance for the current supply-side reform and economic development in China.
