Eighteen delegates led by Prof. Li Junsheng, Vice-president of CUFE visited University of Victoria in Australia to attend the first academic conference of CUFE-University of Victoria joint center for business and economics research from May 10th to 14th.
Guests present exchanged their views about the current economic situation of Australia and China, the great significance of the cooperation between the two countries and reached an agreement that the academic exchange and cooperation of the two would have a positive effect on both sides. At dinner afterwards, Prof. Li Junsheng met with John Brumby, the former Governor of Victoria and Chairman of Australia-China Business Council who then gave a lecture.
On the second day of the meeting, 23 scholars from the two universities gave thesis presentations and had research discussions.
After the meeting, the Management Committee of the Joint Research Center held a work meeting. Li Junsheng, vice president of CUFE, Li Guijun, director of CUFE, Zhang Jian, deputy director of CUFE, Professor Huang Ling and Professor Liu Xiaoyu of CUFE attended the meeting. They discussed the topics of paper publication, achievement propaganda, research projects, exchanges of visiting scholars, and issues concerning the second conference of the Joint Research Center with faculty members of University of Victoria, planning for further development of the Joint Research Center.
