Three Nepalese delegates including Mr. Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Central Member and Office Director of the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist) (CPN-UML) and Mr. Suman Shobha Kandangwa, the well-known writer, artist and social activist, visited CUFE on September, 12th and delivered an academic lecture titled Getting Close to Nepal: The Nation and Society in Its Geopolitical Pattern.
During the talk, Mr. Krishna Gopal Shrestha recalled his two prior experiences of visiting China. He said this time differed so much from previous ones, and he hoped the visit could further strengthening and promoting the comprehensive cooperation of all sectors between the two countries.
Mr. Krishna Gopal systematically introduced the national, social, political and racial conditions of Nepal, as well as the Nepalese political system and Party politics in his address. In addition, Mr. Suman stressed in his speech how to connect individual tranquility with world peace in the global multi-culture context. He believes Nepal’s experience of achieving peaceful multi-national and multi-religious coexistence serve as a valuable example to the world peace.
