Joint Press Conference of CUFE--British Actuary Association and “The Development of New Technology and Actuarial Industry” Forum were held on the afternoon of May 18th. Before the conference, president Wang Yaoqi met with Mr. Colin Wilson, chairman of the British Actuary Association, Mr. Derek Cribb, Executive president of the Association, Ms. Li Liwen, chief representative of East Asia and their fellows.

CUFE and the British Actuarial Association formally signed a contract during the conference, determining that "Asset Liability Management" course of School of Insurance would be exempt from Actuarial Risk Management examination of British Actuary Association. Mr. Colin Wilson, chairman of the British Actuarial Association, awarded the honorary actuary certificate of British Actuarial Association in 2017 to Professor Li Xiaolin.

During the "Development of New technology and Actuarial Industry " special forum, Mr. Colin Wilson, chairman of the British Actuarial Association, delivered a speech on "the impact of new technology on actuarial industries and how IFoA would respond to challenges." Professor Li Xiaolin delivered a speech on "Actuarial career development in randomness and game under new technology."
