On 14^thDecember, “Depicting the New Beijing” ——2018 Beijing in the Eyes of Foreign Friends Photo Contest Award Ceremony and the Exchange for Foreign Friends in Beijing was held in the Beijing People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Among 3,000 photos taken by photographers from 60 countries, the photos of Brazilian and Myanmar students from our university, GABRIEL AMARAL CAVALCANTI BECHARA and YIN LEA LEA SEIN won the “Award of Excellence” and the “Award of Popularity”. Besides, 7 international students won the “Award of Top 300 Winners”, and our university won the “Award of Best Organization”.

The activity was co-sponsored by the Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and other organizations. It is part of the “Love Beijing, photograph Beijing” photography and cultural activities jointly organized by the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Beijing Municipal People's Government Press Office. The goal of this activity is to show the changes in the city of Beijing, the spirit of Beijing and the innovation and construction of the people in Beijing from the perspectives of foreigners. Our school organized international students to participate in this activity, in addition to the “Award of Excellence” and the “Award of Popularity”, Bangladeshi student MD ZAHID HASAN, Brazilian student HEITOR ALEXANDER SANTOS, Cambodian student CHANSEREY LEAKNAK NONG, Malaysian student LEONG WEN JUN, Pakistani student FOZIA WALI, Russian student ELIZAVETA KLEIMENOVA and Turkmen student GULNABAT ORAZGYLYJOVA won the “Award of Top 300 Winners”.

International students use their cameras to capture their life in Beijing and their photos tell the stories of Beijing. Through this activity, they had a deeper feeling about the development and changes in Beijing.
